Pizza with Almond Flour Crust

When I was home last week, I made dinner with my friend Rebecca who is a seasoned alternative cook. This pizza turned out delicious! And really like pizza. The crust was a little mushy, I’d say, but it held together and actually seemed like a crust, as compared to my cauliflower pizza crust which was pretty, but which just seemed like vegetables.

The crust from Paleo Diet [Evolved]:
-2 Cups Almond Flour
-1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
-1/2 tsp. Salt
-1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
-2 Eggs
-1 Tbsp. Olive Oil (we used bacon drippings instead – yum!)
-3/4-1 Cup Mozz Cheese/Italian Mix (we used Parmesan)

– Make it into a dough
– Press it onto an oiled pizza pan
– Bake it for 15 min at ~350*f
– Top it with your favorites, such as:

Exquisite Pizza Sauce from All Recipes:
– Tomato paste
– Warm water
– Parmesan cheese
– Minced garlic
– Honey
– Anchovy paste (optional) (we used Red Boat fish sauce instead, which is apparently mostly anchovies anyway)
– Onion powder, dried oregano, dried marjoram, dried basil (we just used a Mediterranean herb blend)
– Black pepper
– Cayenne pepper (we skipped this)
– Red pepper flakes
– Salt
(Nothing was measured, but it didn’t matter)

– Combine it all together and then they say to just let it sit for 30min, but we heated it. Then spread it on the pizza!

We topped the pizza with Moroccan black olives, appelgate farms pepperoni, and mozzarella, and heated it all in the oven til it was melted and a little brown. So good, so good, I got you! Bum bum bum bum!
