Kefir Smoothie with Ginger, Mint, and Avocado
But! I’m on a new kick – namely, anti-candida. Because I like doing the occasional cleanse, it’s like a reset button for the system, and for my increasingly lazy and unhealthy eating habits… (also I’ve been reading Julie and Julia, which is actually quite entertaining, and possibly inspiring!)
I’ve been pretty religious about my go-to kefir smoothie, but on candida you can’t have anything sweet at all. I’ve already done away with the honey – it really doesn’t need it. But what to replace the banana with?
I got this recipe from Serious Eats, and it’s totally palatable!
– 1/2 avocado
– 1c plain kefir
– 1/2tsp fresh ginger
– 4 mint leaves
Immersion blend it up! and you’re done.
