Chocolate Swirl Cake

A friend of mine was turning 30 and we wanted to make a special cake for her – something a little different and fun!

After searching for unique birthday cakes on google, I found this recipe from Annie’s Eats which basically gives instructions for making this amazing stripy pattern cake:

– Make cake in 2 colors (e.g., chocolate and white, but any high-contrast will work)
– Pour a little of one into the center of a cake pan, then pour a little of the other into the center of that
– Continue alternating until you’ve filled the pan
– Bake like normal
– Frost like normal
– Surprise! Beautiful pattern when you cut it open
